Services
Our work is typically somewhere in the intersection of systems change, community development, democracy and citizen engagement where groups of people come together to talk and work on shared issues and towards common goals.
Sound like an approach that may work for you? Book a time with us to chat about what you’re working on and we can discuss how Convoke can help.
Who we support
We support a wide range of nonprofit boards and organizations, governments and government teams and agencies, multi-stakeholder and collaborative tables, and businesses. The projects we work on help create a shared path forward (e.g., strategic planning), gather wisdom from others to inform decision making and direction setting (e.g., pubic and stakeholder engagement), reimagine how we work together (e.g., nonprofit governance and unconscious bias training), and set groundwork for organizational cultures that support positive impact (e.g., program and organization evaluation and nonprofit policy and bylaw review).
What they all have in common is an interest in full engagement in participatory dialogue, and a commitment to collaboratively building solutions, ones they may not have previously envisioned.
Are you a nonprofit or multi-stakeholder table with a small budget? We also help with grant writing to fund the great work you want to do! Reach out any time.

Gender-Based Analysis (GBA) Plus Training, Reviews, and Framework Development
Equity, diversity, inclusion, and Reconciliation considerations and needs are always on our mind.
We have individually and in community been working for years to understand unconscious bias, intersectionality, colonization, power, and privilege and how it plays out in teams, communities, systems, and institutions. We integrate GBA Plus (Gender-based Analysis Plus) into our analysis work. We recognize, however, that an intersectional analysis of a problematic policy, such as one that doesn’t acknowledge or consider inequality or systemic racism, sexism, ableism, etc., only goes so far.
This is why we integrate public and community engagement into our projects wherever possible – so that we can hear from and learn from those impacted – and why we encourage most teams we’re working with to take a step back on their projects to consider and try to integrate the larger system and context into their efforts.

The foundations of our work
The values that keep us grounded in doing this work are:
Taking Our Work Further

We’re also taking our work further and learning about trauma-informed practices and how to integrate them not just into our facilitation and engagement services, but into our writing, designing, and analysis work as well.
All of this is also why we love being invited into work in the very early brainstorming and dreaming stages, before there’s much (or anything!) for us to do, so we can help integrate EDI, Reconciliation, and trauma-informed practices from the beginning into project scope, timelines, and expectations.
