Supporting inclusive, equitable organizations and communities
We want to support diverse groups of people having meaningful conversations and working together in inclusive and equitable ways to find long-term, systems solutions and to create better outcomes for programs, policies, organizations and the people they serve. We believe it’s in our differences that we will find the creativity and ability to solve our challenges and problems, no matter how big or how small.
We also aim to live in deep gratitude and reverence for all the Indigenous people of Turtle Island and planet Earth and to take allied action with Indigenous Peoples to catalyze and support reconciliation and deep changes to our minds, practices, and systems.
We can’t promise to always get it right. We will promise that we will always keep unlearning, learning, practicing and championing equity and inclusion of everyone no matter where they come from, what they look like, who they love, what language they speak, or how they move through and communicate with the world. We will also promise to keep reflecting on what we do, our communities, and the systems around us, and looking for ways to integrate equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices into our work.
In that spirit, if you catch any opportunities for improved accessibility or inclusion on this site or in our services, please let us know!

Land Acknowledgement
Convoke was founded on the traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene, Nakota Sioux, and Metis, originally known as Amiskwaciwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ) in what is today considered Treaty 6 territory.
Under colonization, this land that our headquarters are on and that our current team lives, works, and plays on came to be called Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
We acknowledge, honour, and respect the histories, languages, cultures, and teaching practices of these Nations.
